Our review is holistic. Three factors serve as the application foundation: academic record, work experience, and test scores. Essays, recommendations, interviews, and information about leadership and community involvement are important, too. The application is online only. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

We consider the applicant's overall background: professional potential and achievement, academic record, three essays, two recommendations, and an interview with two members of the Admissions Committee. A minimum of five years work experience, civilian and/or military, is required. Managerial achievement is emphasized. Each applicant has a personal admissions counselor to assist and guide them. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

The MBA is a two-year, 60-credit program consisting of core courses (29 credits) in all the functional areas of management. Students learn through a variety of methods, including case study, lecture, and projects. A wide variety of electives allows students to customize their education. Specializations are offered through seven function-based and six interdisciplinary option areas.

The curriculum of core courses and electives combines online and in-class instruction over 19 months. In-class instruction occurs through six quarterly on-campus residencies that last 1-2 weeks. They provide strong cohort interaction with fellow professionals. Final residency in the traditional EMBA occurs abroad with location chosen by students. It provides insights into different business models and cultural immersion. For the Global EMBA, students go to seven countries on four continents during their five two-week residencies. In both programs, hands-on experience is provided by our Active Learning Projects course, in which our students apply their professional experience and classroom learning to help an outside organization diagnose and resolve a critical business problem. For both programs, the courses cover management and quantitative based courses to provide a well-rounded general management MBA curriculum.

The Weekend MBA program offers career-friendly flexibility and a nationally ranked, globally prestigious Purdue MBA. Targeted to professionals wanting to combine a management degree with their academic and professional skills, the Weekend MBA offers a general management education to students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds.
